Geotechnical Engineering Services Pty Ltd (GES) is a Melbourne-based geotechnical engineering consultancy providing professional geotechnical investigations, soil testing, residential site classification, geotechnical laboratory testing, compaction testing, pavement investigations and Level 1 earthworks supervision across Melbourne and Victoria.

Our experienced geotechnical engineering team provides practical and reliable solutions for residential, commercial and industrial developments. We undertake field investigations, laboratory testing and engineering assessments to provide clients, builders, structural engineers and developers with appropriate recommendations for foundation design, earthworks, retaining structures and pavement construction.

GES operates a NATA-accredited geotechnical laboratory, supporting our field investigations with reliable soil testing and quality-controlled laboratory services. Our work is undertaken with reference to relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1726, AS 2870, AS 3798 and the AS 1289 series, where applicable.
